Two New Updates!
We have made two updates to theGPD that dramatically improve usability:
Update #1: Users can now start debates with text.
Previously, we only allowed debates to be started by users posting videos. This proved to be a major usability concern, and our testers let us know loud and clear that they wanted the option to start conversations with text. Now, when you click on any ‘Start a Debate’ button on the site you will be given the option to initiate a conversation by either voicing your opinions through uploading a video, or expressing your thoughts by simply typing them.
Update #2: Video and text responses are combined into one column.
Responses within debates used to be separated by whether they were a video response or a text response. When a user was viewing the video responses they could not see the text responses, and vice-versa. This encouraged two separate conversations to develop between the video responses and the text responses. To fix this we decided to allow both types of responses to be posted in one list called The Conversation. Now all users can engage one another no matter which medium they choose.
We hope you enjoy these updates and your time spent at The Great Political Debate. Please do not hesitate to tell us what you think about theGPD by filling out the Contact Us form. Happy Debating!
Sincerely,
TheGPD Crew
