I was recently talking to a frind of mines dad. He started talking about how the FDA was considering banning the menthol cigarette, so i decided to do some research about it. Now I am not a smoker, but i read that about 1/4 of all cigarettes sold are menthol. Some researchers say the menthol cigarette is more addictive because of the flavor. The FDA also says big tobacco is specifically targeting minority groups. With 3/4 of black people smoking menthols.
I think it's great that our country is full of people with different view points and ideas but sometimes brand loyalty gets out of hand. Like him or not, Obama is our President and we have to stand behind him on something. I feel like if he came out tomorrow and said the United States is the greatest country of all time there would be critics saying he's not being fair to Canadians.
A good head of hair is a basic requirement for holding political office today. Some 75% of men lose their hair as they age, but the last time we had a bald president was over half a century ago. It's no coincidence that as TV came onto the American scene, being an old bald politician went out of style. Ike, a.k.a President Eisenhower, may very well be the last badass bald guy that gets to be president. But why is this? Are we really that shallow as a nation?
