First off, the Holocaust happened. I think you'd have a better shot at proving the world is flat, than proving the Holocaust didn't happen. Relative to one another, a 9/11 "truther" looks reasonable next to a holocaust denier.
Second, there is no conspiracy in the founding of Israel. The founding of Israel is well documented. Let me throw some history at you, and if we're lucky it will stick. Feeling reasonable?
In 1922 the League of Nations ("predecessor" to the UN) created the "British Mandate of Palestine." Basically, this gave the British administrative control over what is modern day Israel and Jordan. How did that happen? Well, previous to WWI this area and much of the Middle East was under control of the Ottoman empire. In WWI the Ottoman empire picked the wrong side, and given that the Middle East is a highly strategic area (think oil, ports, and how it is the crossroads for 3 continents) the British decided to invade the Middle East and the Ottoman empire. In all likelihood, the side that won the war would take control over this area.
Now think really, really hard... Who won WWI?
That's right, we did. Since the Brits were on the winning team, and the Ottoman empire essentially collapsed after the end of WWI, the League of Nations gave control of this area to the British - after all, the British won. But just as they do today, both the Jews and the Palestinians claimed this territory as their rightful home. And consequently, the Jews and Palestinians developed "tense" relations. To make a long story short, the time between 1922 and 1945 was characterized by growing hatred and political instability, along with a couple revolts, some terrorism, and various assassinations on both sides.
By the time WWII was resolved, the area under the British Mandate was in chaos. The British needed over 100,000 troops to keep this territory in relative order. With increasing violence, rising cost to the British taxpayer, and no end in sight, the British decided they didn't want this area any longer.
By this time the UN replaced the LoN, and the UN decided that two independent states would be established when the British Mandate expired on May 15th, 1948. There would be a Jewish state and a Palestinian state, and Jerusalem would be "neutral" between both both states. The UN would police Jerusalem. The US, the Soviet Union, and the Jews were in support of this plan. However, the Palestinians did not favor it. Consequently, tensions rose between the Jews and the Palestinians until civil war broke out. The civil war would become a winner-take-all war as soon as the mandate expired.
On May 14th, 1948 (One day before the British Mandate was set to expire) Israel declared its independence and was immediately recognized by the US, Soviet Union, and Iran. The civil war made it obvious a two-state solution wouldn't work. There was going to be one state, and who that state belonged to would be decided by all out war.
When Israel declared itself an independent state, it gave every person within its borders full civil rights - no matter what religion or ethnicity they were. Israel was essentially the first pluralist democracy in the Middle East. I wonder why the US supported it? Surely it must be a conspiracy! The US would never support a fledgling democracy! Not to mention that this new pluralist democracy just formed in a key region of the world.
Obviously, Israel won the war and won their independence as a state. They ended up with a little over 80% of the land under the British Mandate, while the rest of the land went to Jordan. There is no conspiracy here:
1) Israel supported a two-state solution
2) Palestinians didn't support a two-state solution
3) Civil war broke out
4) Israel wins because it had bigger friends and out maneuvered the Palestinians militarily and diplomatically.
And finally, as for it being "convenient" that Jews still receive money from the German government to this day...ummmm....the Germans (German Nazis) kinda exterminated 6,000,000 of them. There were millions of witnesses to the Holocaust. There were concentration camp survivors, allied liberators, german citizens, Nazi soldiers, pictures, and video of the camps. Orchestrating a conspiracy involving millions of people, throughout the whole world, and across many different languages is just not possible. My friend, it is time to listen to reason.
I don't really see the logic in using Germans paying Jews reparations for the holocaust as evidence for a "Holohoax" or some conspiracy.
Why are the still paying reparations today? My guess is that it has something to do with holocaust survivors still being alive. If you have problems with reparations, that is an entirely separate issue. Reparations are by no means limited to the Germans paying the Jews for the Holocaust. The US recently payed reparations for the Japanese internment camps during WWII...
Personally, if I survived the pure and utter horror of a concentration camp, I would want reparations for my entire life... after all they would have nearly taken my life, and in all likelihood killed my family.
I recommend you go to a holocaust museum sometime. If you can go through a holocaust museum and still think the holocaust is a hoax... then you are a moron living on a flat planet.
